Longjing tea (龙井), also known as Dragonwell tea, is a premium quality green tea that is highly prized in China and around the world. This tea originates from Hangzhou and is made from young leaves of the tea plant that are pan-fried in woks to stop the oxidation process, giving the tea its unique flat shape and vibrant green colour.

Brewing

Longjing tea is best brewed at a low temperature (80 to 85°C)  to bring out its delicate flavors and aromas.

Appearance

Long, flat, and pointed leaves that are a vibrant shade of green. When brewed, the tea produces a pale yellow-green infusion with a clear and bright colour. The leaves unfurl to reveal their full shape and size, which contributes to a memorable tea-drinking experience.
