Description
Type: Green Tea
Origin: Suzhou area, Jiangsu Province
Description
Considered one of the most famous Chinese tea, Biluochun (碧螺春) originates from the Dongting mountain region near Lake Tai in Jiangsu province, Eastern China. The tea’s name, meaning “Green Snail Spring,” is derived from its tightly rolled leaves resembling tiny spirals, akin to snail shells. The leaves of Biluochun are small, tender, and tightly curled, showcasing a vibrant green hue. The careful plucking of young leaves and buds contributes to the tea’s elegant appearance, symbolizing the arrival of spring.
Tasting notes
Sweet, smooth taste with hints of chestnut and a lingering floral aftertaste. The combination of umami richness and a slight sweetness makes Biluochun a well-balanced and refreshing tea.
Brewing
Enshi Yulu tea is best brewed at a low temperature to bring out its delicate flavors and aromas. We recommend 80-85°C
